St. Joseph renews WIC nutrition program for another year

The St. Joseph Health Department has announced the Women, Infants and Children program has been extended for another year.  Over 1,890 persons are eligible in St. Joseph for services provided by the WIC program.

St. Joseph Health Department Public Information Officer Stephanie Malita said WIC serves an important role for eligible residents. She clarified that the program is not based solely on low-income, but also on a specific nutrition need.

The new WIC contract with the St. Joseph Health Department runs through September 30, 2018.
