Maryville slogan deadline looms

A slogan contest is underway in Maryville. The slogan will be used alongside an image, still to be designed, and painted on a building next to a proposed "pocket" park downtown.

The idea for the slogan project comes from Downtown Maryville Promotions Chairman Sam Mason, who got the idea during a trip to Kansas City. While there, he saw people getting their pictures taken next to a sign located near Crown Center. The sign read simply, "Kansas City, I'm so in Love."

Mason said response to the contest has been "great" with over 40 entries, but adds there's still time to submit a slogan.

The deadline to submit an entry is Sunday, Oct. 15. Entries may be submitted at www.downtownmaryvillemo.org
