Sept. 13, 2017PRINCETON, Mo. | By: Coffey
Princeton, Mo. celebrates the life of one of its well-known natives this weekend, President of the Princeton Chamber of Commerce Kelly Bertrand says.
For more than fifty years Princeton has held Calamity Jane Days in honor of the American frontierswoman and scout known for her claims of being an acquaintance of Wild Bill Hickok and fighting against Indians. Calamity Jane was born Martha Jane Canary in Princeton, Mo. on May 1, 1852 and died August 1, 1903.
Bertrand says events are planned for Friday through Sunday for this year's Calamity Jane Days in Princeton.
