Northwest's Upward Bounded program funded for 5 more years
Northwest Missouri State University's Upward Bound Math and Science program has recieved funding that will allow it to continue for another five years. The program will recieve $335,715 for the 2017-2018 academic year and roughly $1.77 million for the five-year period.
Launched in 1992, the Upward Bound Math and Science program at Northwest serves 71 students at 11 high schools throughout Missouri, Iowa, and Kansas to help them pursue an education or career in a math or science related field. With the continued funding, eligible high school students will continue to aquire hands-on experience with math and science projects while also developing leadership and social skills.
