Nodaway County kicks off Coats for Kids project

A collaborative Coats for Kids project in Nodaway County begins Monday and runs through October 13. Any coat collected will go to children in need in the community. Prosecuting Attorney of Nodaway County, Mo. Robert Rice says Community Services is one of the benefactors of the coats and they will help distribute them.

The Maryville Knights of Columbus; Today's Civic Women; Nodaway County Commission; Nodaway County Prosecutor; 4th Circuit Presiding Judge Roger Prokes; Nodaway County Sheriff; Maryville Department of Public Safety; Missouri State Highway Patrol, Maryville Zone Office; and the Northwest Missouri State University Police Department are collaborating to collect coats.

Rice dsyd you can drop off s coat with any police officer or stop by the Nodaway County Courthouse. He also adds that he hopes the effort collects at least 1,000 coats.
