National Assisted Living Week kicks off

National Assisted Living Week has a new theme for this year's celebration. According to the National Center for Assisted Living, the theme for this year is "Family Forever."

Oak Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care in Maryville will take part in the celebration this week. Community Relations Manager Stephanie Reed says this week is all about family. The week's events range from picnics to a family and friends happy hour. Reed adds the week celebrates not only the staff, but also the residents they care for.

The celebration week kicked-off yesterday and runs through Saturday. More information on the events is available at 660-562-2799.
