Viewing Crime Online

St Joseph residents have a new way to stay informed about crime in their community.

The St Joseph Police Department recently partnered with BAIR Analytics to provide an online crime map to the public called RAIDS Online.

RAIDS Online analyzes crime data to keep the public aware of crime in the area and to help the Police Department alert the public about crimes as they occur. Citizens can view a map which lists crimes in the area and can sign up for neighborhood watch reports that email recent crime activity.

Sergeant Tracy Barton, from the Police Department Crime Analysis Unit, says the online crime map will also allow the public to submit anonymous tips.
