May is Motorcycle Awareness Month

The month of May brings warmer and nicer weather which means an increase of motorcycles on the roads.
May is Motorcycle Awareness Month and the Missouri State Highway Patrol is actively reaching out to people to watch out for motorcycle riders. Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant with Troop H in St. Joseph, Jake Angle says there are certain times of the day when it's harder for drivers to see motorcycles.

Angle adds motorcycle operators need to be aware of other vehicles. Riders are reminded to wear a helmet and eye protection. They are also encouraged to wear reflective strips or decals on their clothing and motorcycle for their safety.
