Landmark Commission to Hold Awards Ceremony

The city of St. Joseph's Landmark Commission is gearing up for the 2014 Preservation Awards Ceremony later this month.

The Landmark Commission holds the awards ceremony to honor citizens for their recent accomplishments towards restoring and maintaining the city's historic structures.

Public information officer for the city of St. Joseph, Mary Robertson, says she hopes people who attend walk away with a greater appreciation of the wealth of historic architecture in the city.

The event will be held Thursday, May 29th at the Paradox Theater located at 107 South 6th Street in St. Joseph, Mo. The reception begins at 6:00 p.m. followed by the presentation of awards at 6:30 p.m.
