Kids are Eating Smart at St. Francis Preschool

The St. Francis Preschool and Child Care Center has been recognized by the Missouri Health Department for its high nutrition standards.

The center adopted new meal and snack guidelines in an effort to promote healthy eating habits and improve nutrition of the children at the facility.

The Missouri Eat Smart Guidelines are offered by the state health department in three levels: minimum, intermediate, and advanced. The St. Francis Preschool and Child Care Center achieved the advanced level for having high nutrition standards.

Director of the center, Cindy Sons, says the health of the children was the main concern.
