20-Mile Trooper Project Proves Successful

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop H announced the results of the 20-mile Trooper project from over the Memorial Day weekend. The project took place May 23rd and May 24th on Interstate 29. 

Results of the project include 242 warnings and 164 citations.

Of the 164 citations, 104 were for speeding, 19 for not wearing a seat belt, 19 no insurance citations, seven drug arrests, and several other citations.

Public Information Officer for the Missouri State Highway Patrol Jacob Angle says the project was a success.

Troopers patrolled a 20-mile stretch of the interstate from the Buchanan County line to the Iowa State line.
