St. Joseph Tree City

The City of St. Joseph, The Missouri Department of Conservation and the Northwest Region of the Missouri Forestry Council are teaming up to celebrate Arbor day this Friday.
Fourth graders at Hyde Elementary School will help plant a new tree donated by KCP&L.
In addition to the new greenery, The St. Joseph community will celebrate being recognized as a Tree City USA for the 21st time.
Senior Property Maintenance Inspector Walter Hughes says credit for the honor goes to many different organizations.

The tree planting event will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2014 at Hyde Elementary.
