Preparing for Severe Weather

The severe weather that has swept across much of Missouri reminds all of us about the importance of being ready to respond quickly to threatening weather.
The State Emergency Management Agency encourages Missourians to take time today to raise their level of preparedness for severe weather as part of "America's Prepare-a-thon".
Today's event is being organized by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and provides preparedness guides to help groups and workplaces to practice preparedness activities.
Communications Director for the Missouri Department of Public Safety, Mike O'Connell, says its a good idea to make sure you are prepared ahead of time.
