A Northwest Missouri State University organization received second place in a national competition earlier this month in Los Angeles.
The Beta Chapter of Pi Omega Pi, a national business education honor society, finished second in the 2013 National Chapter Competition on April 17, 2014.
The competition is based on reports submitted about chapter projects at local, community, and national levels.
Members from the Beta Chapter helped with the District One Future Business Leaders of America Conference on the Northwest campus.
The chapter also received recognition for 90 years as an organization and is the oldest active chapter in the nation.
Chapter Sponsor and professor in Northwest's Department of Computer Science and Information Systems, Dr. Nancy Zeliff, was honored for 25 years of service as the chapter's sponsor.
