No Charges Filed in December Shooting

No charges will be filed against a Nodaway County man who shot and killed a  34 year old Manchester, Kansas man during a domestic dispute in late December. 34 year old Mickey Lee Lobdell was shot by 51 year old Lewis Schrodt after an argument erupted during a family gathering at Schrodt's residence near Clearmont, Missouri on Dec. 27, 2014.  Nodaway County Prosecuting Attorney Robert Rice says Schrodt acted in self-defense in the dispute.

Rice says at the time of the shooting, Lobdell was wanted on a probation violation in Kansas and had a history of criminal convictions including battery, aggravated battery, domestic battery and obstructing legal process.
