Maryville Superintendent pleased with vote

Maryville school district officials were pleased with the results of this week's passage of the 10 point 2-5 million dollar bond extension.  The funds will provide for the construction of a new performing arts center, more secure entrances to the elementary, middle, high school and vocational school, a new kitchen and commons area for the elementary school and new practice gymnasium at the high school. Superintendent Larry Linthacum says a construction manager for the project will be meeting with the Maryville Board of Education at Tuesday night's meeting.
