Maryville Man Dies

A Maryville man is dead and a Conception Junction man is hurt after a two vehicle accident yesterday evening in Nodaway County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 49-year-old Randy Cronk of Maryville was headed east on Route-U, seven miles south of Maryville at 11:50 p.m. last night.
The Patrol report indicates that Cronk's 2002 Ford F-250 went off the south side of the road and he then overcorrected and began to lose control.
The vehicle then crossed the center line and struck a vehicle head on driven by 54-year-old Kelly Wilmes of Conception Junction.
Cronk was transported by Life Net Air Ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph where he was pronounced dead.
Wilmes was taken by a private vehicle to St. Francis in Maryville with minor injuries.
Cronk was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. 
Wilmes was wearing a seat belt.
