Armless Pilot to Speak at MERIL Celebration

Jessica Cox, born without arms, is the first person with her condition to obtain a pilot's license. Cox will speak at the Midland Empire Resources for Independent Living (MERIL) 20th anniversary celebration. Cox will talk about her experiences living her life using her feet as others would use their hands with her "thinking outside the shoe" attitude.
In addition to receiving her pilot's license in 2008, Cox also holds two black belts in Taekwondo and drives with an unrestricted driver's license.

Chief Branding Officer for MERIL, Deb Powers, says Cox's message will inspire people of all ages.
