Spoofhound Wrestling Coach Retires

A northwest Missouri area wrestling coach retires after forty years. 
The Maryville Spoofhounds wrestling program goes back at least fifty years, and Joe Drake has been a part of it for the past forty.
Drake, who announced his plans to retire two weeks ago, says this was the best time for him to walk away.

Throughout his years coaching, Drake says being mentally tough was one of the most important aspects of wrestling.

Over the past forty years, Drake has coached over 200 state qualifiers and says the success of the athletes is the most important thing.

Drake adds, for the first time since seventh grade, he will not be involved with wrestling.
