School District Partnership

Northwest Missouri State University and Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City are partnering with the St. Joseph School District.  The agreement will provide resources and space to assist high school students who are eligible for Missouri A+ scholarship money.  Northwest President Dr. John Jasinski says the partnership will give St. Joseph area students more access to higher education.

The agreement will allow Metro Community College to use four classrooms and equipment in the Northwest St. Joseph Center, located in the Green Acres Building on North Village Drive.  MCC Chancellor Mark James says this is an important  partnership for his school.

The agreement announced yesterday is the third recently signed by Northwest and MCC. Northwest relocated its Kansas City Center to the MCC Maple Woods campus and is also partnering with MCC and the North Kansas City Schools to create an innovation center in Gladstone.
