West Nodaway Advisor Receives Award

A northwest Missouri high school teacher recently received a highly regarded award.
Ken Wilmes has been the Ag teacher and Future Farmers of America (FFA) Advisor for West Nodaway High School in Burlington Junction for 10 years.
He received the Outstanding Chair Person Award from the Community Blood Center in Saint Joseph.
Wilmes says while receiving the award was a great honor, the success of the blood drives put on by the West Nodaway FFA Chapter couldn't be accomplished without the help of students and the community.

He adds it will be his last chaired blood drive as he is retiring from his 22-year teaching career.
