Senators in St. Joseph

Missouri's two U.S. senators met with Missouri National Guard leaders who outlined some of the needs for a northwest Missouri base.
Senators Roy Blunt and Claire McCaskill listened yesterday as guard officials spoke at Rosecrans Air National Guard Base, home to the 139th Airlift Wing of the Air National Guard.
Wing officials said the 139th is seeking to add a newer model aircraft to its fleet of C-130s and a flight simulator.
Blunt and McCaskill, both members of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said they'll work for Rosecrans to get the equipment it needs.
Blunt, a Republican, said to be the best training facility in the country on C-130s, Rosecrans needs the best equipment.
McCaskill, a Democrat, said she's hopeful of getting the newer aircraft for Rosecrans.
