Maryville Speech Students Advance to Nationals

The Maryville High School Speech team competed in their district qualifier this past weekend.
As a result of their success, two students will compete in the National Speech and Debate League Tournament in June.
Junior, BJ Sudloff, and senior, Kendra Henggeler, came away with qualifications in Dramatic Interpretation and Original Oratory, respectively.
A third student, junior, Jonathan Rogers, was named as alternate to the tournament in International Extemporaneous Speaking. Depending on next week’s debate qualifier, Rogers might be heading to the tournament as well.
Maryville High School Speech and Debate Head Coach, Trudy Kinman, says that she is extremely proud of the work her students have done.
