Fire Weather Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Warning for parts of northeastern Kansas, southeastern Nebraska, southwestern Iowa, and northwest Missouri, including Nodaway County.
This warning means that conditions are favorable for a controlled fire to spread and become uncontrollable.
Maryville Fire Department Captain Phil Rickabaugh says several environmental factors go into the decision to issue a fire weather warning.
