Woman Assaults Sheriff's Deputy

A St. Joseph woman has been charged with assaulting a Nodaway County Sheriff's Deputy.
According to Nodaway County Prosecuting Attorney Robert Rice, Jacqueline Russell entered the Nodaway County Sheriff's Department yelling and swearing at office staff Sunday.
Rice says she was asked to leave and did not.

Rice adds Russell works in law enforcement.

Rice charged Russell with assault of a law enforcement officer in the 3rd degree.
He also charged her with a peace disturbance for offensive language in a face to face manner.
Russell will appear in Nodaway County Circuit Court at nine Tuesday morning.
