Weekly Meditation Time

Northwest Missouri State University Wellness Services will host a weekly meditation time throughout the Spring 2014 trimester. The sessions are designed to introduce individuals to the ancient practices of mindfulness and meditation.  Meditation has been proven to enhance the overall health and well-being of people who practice it on a routine basis. Participants can also experience improved focus and attention as well as a sense of inner calmness. The sessions can be found in the First Ladies Dining Room on the third floor of the J.W. Jones Student Union on the Northwest Campus. The 45 minute sessions are held each and every week on Tuesday with the last session being held Tuesday, Apr. 29, 2014. Participants are encouraged to bring a pillow or thick towel to sit on. For more information contact Dr. Michael Mattock at 660-562-1825.
