Open Container and Nuisance Party Decision

The Maryville City Council tabled a decision on two ordinances at last night's meeting.

The ordinances pertaining to the transportation and possession of an open container and nuisance parties were tabled after Northwest Missouri State President Dr. John Jasinski suggested that the Council takes the time to inform and educate the Leadership Team of Northwest Missouri State.  Jasinski says greater communication between the Council and the school can benefit both parties.

Councilmen Funston backed up President Jasinski's statement by stating that he wanted to know how this ordinance will be enforced by Maryville's Public Safety.

Later in the meeting, the Council approved a Mutual Aid Agreement with Northwest Missouri State University's Police Department.
