Buchanan County Accident

Two persons suffered moderate injuries in a four-vehicle accident in Buchanan County yesterday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by 56-year-old John A. Clevenger, of Trimble, Missouri, was  south bound on I-29, just north of U-S 169 South Junction, when Clevenger struck the rear of a vehicle driven by 59-year-old David J. Hawk, of St. Joseph.
After being struck by Clevenger, Hawk then proceeded to slide into a S-U-V driven by 61-year-old Steven D. Davidson, of St. Joseph.
Davidson then traveled into the passing lane where his vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer driven by 54-year-old James N. Hotsinpiller, of Cookville, TN. Clevenger and Hawk were both transported by Heartland Ambulance to the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.
