Arbor Lodge State Historical Park

Over 1,000 people have already signed a petition to publicly support a bill in the Nebraska State Legislature that would make the maintenance of Arbor Lodge State Historical Park a local duty.

Executive Director of  Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce, Tim Pendrell, says that the bill would appropriate $2.1 million to Nebraska City to work toward the park’s reopening.

Arbor Lodge is the birthplace of Arbor Day, and Pendrell says the petition was a basic way to show support that they didn’t expect to progress so quickly.
