Winter Reading Program

A local library is offering a chance to get away from the cold, without even leaving the home. The Rolling Hills Library presents its 2014 Adult Winter Reading Program, with the theme "Make a STATEment: Read." In this competitive program, participants read and log six books that relate to the theme. The approved books are set in Missouri or states bordering Missouri, books about states where the participants were born, non-fiction books about states and books with state names in the title. Director of Rolling Hills Library Alan Stolfus says the program is rewarding in more ways than one.

Reading logs can be picked up at either the Belt Branch, 1904 N. Belt in St. Joseph, or the Savannah Branch, 514 W. Main in Savannah. Reading logs should be kept until the 6 books have been read. The program runs through March 8th.
