Tax Filing Tips

Tax season is fast approaching, and the Missouri Department of Revenue has a few tips for taxpayers to aid in a speedy return.
The Internal Revenue Service, or IRS, begins processing individual tax returns on January 31st.
According to Director of Communications with the Missouri Department of Revenue, Michelle Gleba, taxpayers who file earlier do see benefits.

Electronic returns are available online, and Gleba says that is becoming the preferred method for taxpayers and processors.
