Special Olympics Missouri

Special Olympics Missouri honored area individuals and groups for their work with Special Olympics recently.

Heather Ball, Marty Bonnett, Diane Francis, the Copeland Family, Keith Bentz, William Seay and the Knights of Columbus 571 4th Degree were recognized at the 2014 SOMO Annual Awards Luncheon.

The individuals and groups received honors for their significant contributions to Special Olympics Missouri-North Area.

North Area Development Director Melody Prawitz says Special Olympics Missouri remains a community based organization.

Maryville Coordinator for Schools Diane Francis received recognition as outstanding volunteer.

Prawitz says Francis continues to reach out to school-aged athletes participating in Special Olympics Missouri.
