Jan. 14, 2014MARYVILLE, Mo. | By: A. Campbell
During last night's City Council meeting, discussion was opened for a new Alcohol Comprehensive Strategy.
This plan would include four new ordinances aimed at regulating underage drinking.
A provision of one of these ordinances is the reconsideration to raise the minimum bar entry age to 21.
Director of Maryville Public Safety, Keith Wood, says the impact of the provision will vary from bar to bar.
City Manager, Greg McDanel, adds the issue will not be solved immediately, but hopefully can be changed over time.
During last night's meeting, the council also approved updated lease agreements with several individuals for hangar space at the Northwest Missouri Regional Airport.
