Scams

The Livingston County Sheriff's Department warns citizens of possible scams going around the area. Several reports from citizens say they received calls from a person with a strong foreign accent. The person proceeds to tell people their computer has problems and that the person works for Microsoft. Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox says the scam wants your personal and financial information.

Cox says scammers contact small businesses and citizens about other scams.
