The Northwest Missouri State University Board of Regents have approved the construction of a new facility to house the school's Police and Purchasing Departments.
The two departments are currently located in a building on the northeast side of campus orginally constructed following the Administration Building fire in July, 1979. The building's orginal use was to provide temporary space for classrooms and KXCV/KRNW Radio. Northwest Vice-President of Finance Stacy Carrick says plans for the One-point-Six million dollar project have been in the works for over two years.
