MAEP Honor

A Maryville veterinarian was recently honored by the Missouri Agricultural Extension Professionals.

Dr. Joe Powell was one of two in the state to receive the Agricultural Leadership award this year. Powell has served the Maryville area since 1965 and is known for helping beef producers to pre condition their calves and test their herd bulls. According to University of Missouri Agronomy Specialist, Tim Schnakenberg, Dr. Powell's leadership played an instrumental role in agriculture in Northwest Missouri and in extension programming.
