A Tarkio corn grower has been elected chairman of the Missouri Corn Merchandising Council.
Kevin Hurst assumed his new role on Tuesday and succeeds Jim Stuever of Dexter. Hurst represents corn farmers from District One in northwest Missouri. He previously served as treasurer and vice chairman as well as Missouri Corn Grower's Association vice-president, secretary and treasurer. The Missouri Corn Merchandising Council is comprised of 14 farmers elected from across the state.
