Reaction to Rally

An estimated 250 to 300 people attended what was billed as a "Rally for Justice" on the square in Maryville last night.

The event was originally organized to show support for a northwest Missouri teenager.. allegedly sexually assaulted in 2012...charges against the two suspects were eventually dropped. After a special prosecutor was appointed to review the case...the rally's focus changed to support all women who have been sexually assaulted. Nodaway County Sheriff Darren White says the organizers of the event did a good job making sure it went off peacefully.
