Missouri Guard Drill and Shut Down

The Missouri National Guard is among the many federal agencies being affected by the government shutdown.

Public Affairs Officer with the Missouri National Guard, Major Tammy Spicer says Guard units in Maryville and Albany and other units around the state have already cancelled this weekend's scheduled drills.

Spicer also stressed that despite the shut-down, the guard is ready and able to respond to state emergencies as directed by Governor Nixon.
