Crisis Response Exercise

Northwest Missouri State University hosts its first disaster training exercise this weekend.

The three-day disaster relief field training exercise, required for students with majors or minors in comprehensive crisis response will also be available to all students. Professor in the comprehensive crisis response program and chair of the Department of Natural Sciences Dr. Mark Corson says during the Missouri Hope 2013 Disaster Response Field Training Exercise, participants will operating in 3 teams of 11.

Corson says this exercise is a pilot program. In the future, it will also be open to community members. The exercise takes place today through Sunday at Mozingo Outdoor Education Recreation Area.
