An accident in Worth County last night left two local teens in serious condition.
The accident occurred at 6:30 pm on Missouri Highway 246 east of first street in Sheridan, MO, when 16 year old Gavin Hawk, and 16 year old Andrew Faustlin both made illegal lane changes in to oncoming traffic. When Faustlin made his way back in to Westbound traffic, both drivers attempted to avoid one another, and left the roadway, and collided head on. Faustlin was life-flighted to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph with serious injuries. His passengers, 17 year old Andrew Mullock suffered moderate injuries and was taken to St Francis Hospital in Maryville , 17 year old Justin Parker suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Heartland Regional Medical Center, and 22 year old Jacob West suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to St Francis Hospital. Gavin Hawk suffered moderate injuries and was taken by personal transportation to St Francis Hospital. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports none of the injured were wearing seatbelts.
