Savannah Standoff

A northwest Missouri man and his daughter are charged after they were involved in a four-hour standoff with law enforcement officers.

Fifty-year-old Rickie Butler was charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor after the standoff ended early Thursday in Savannah. His 27-year-old daughter, Shandra Butler, is charged with a felony and misdemeanor. Law enforcement officers went to the home late Wednesday after receiving reports about shots being fired. The officers saw Butler standing on a balcony with a high-powered rifle. He went back into the apartment and was persuaded to surrender about four hours later. No additional shots were fired after officers arrived and no one was injured. Online court records don't indicate if the Butlers have attorneys.
