Nodaway Habitat for Humanity

A local Habitat for Humanity begins the application process for a new home.

Habitat for Humanity of Nodaway County will hold informational meetings next month about the program and requirements. Habitat for Humanity builds homes for moderately low income families. President of Nodaway County Habitat for Humanity Jonathan Mitchell says the house building process involves the entire community from donations to volunteer labor.

Mitchell says the family chosen for the current house will get to decide where the house is built. Anyone interested in the Habitat for Humanity project can attend an informational meeting at 3pm, Sunday September 8th at North Nodaway High School in Hopkins or at Ravenwood Methodist Church in Ravenwood. The application meeting will be at 9am on Saturday, September 21st at the First United Methodist Church in Maryville.
