Labor Day Travel

With Labor Day weekend being the busiest travel season of the year, the Missouri State Highway Patrol is asking motorists to stay safe. Last year there were over a thousand traffic crashes in the state of Missouri over the Labor Day weekend. Missouri Highway Patrol Sargent Sheldon Lyon says extra troopers will be assigned during the busiest travel days of the weekend.

Lyon adds this is their effort to keep people safe but says it is also up to the public to keep themselves safe by obeying traffic signs and not speeding.
