Green Hills Women's Shelter

A local women's shelter is raising awareness about their services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Green Hills Women's Shelter is dedicated to assisting victims throughout northwest Missouri with shelters in Trenton and Cameron. Green Hills Volunteer Coordinator Jenna Johnson says they have programs to help the victims reestablish their lives, as well as advocacy services. Johnson says the referral source is primarily a toll-free hotline.

Johnson says, while they have a limited budget, Green Hills Women's Shelter tries to offer at least four sessions with a professional counselor to help victims work through trauma.
