Chillicothe Arts Council Choir

A community choir program comes to Chillicothe this fall. The Chillicothe Area Arts Council will present "Harvest Harmony" in November.

Artistic director of the St. Joseph Community Chorus and St. Joseph Chamber Choir Frank Thomas will be directing. Thomas is also a retired professor of Missouri Western State University's concert chorale. Chillicothe Area Arts Council Administrator Julie Ashbrook says Thomas also directed the community choir last year.

No auditions or cost are required to participate in the community choir. The choir is open to local and area high school and adult singers. Practices begin at 7pm on September 17th at the Chillicothe United Methodist Church located at 1414 Walnut in Chillicothe. The "Harvest Harmony" concert takes place on Sunday, November 17th at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center. For more information you can contact the Arts office at 660-646-1173.
