United Electric Cooperative held a special ceremony in Savannah yesterday afternoon to announce the completion of project which will provide high-speed broadband service to rural area's of northwest Missouri.

Chief Executive Officer for United Electric Cooperative...Gene Dorrel says the project should be a game-changer for the economy in the region.

United Electric Cooperative was awarded 21 million dollars in grants and loans to complete the project which is part of the Mo-Broadband-Now initiative in Missouri. Governor Jay Nixon was on hand for yesterday's ceremony.
