Captain Duane L Robinson, of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces that Troop H will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Nodaway County during the month of August.
The checkpoint is a static operation on a specific highway designed to ensure every driver is sober and to keep dangerous drivers off the road. Captain Robinson urges the public to telephone the Missouri State Highway Patrol if you observe any vehicle whose driver could be impaired. Drivers can contact 1-800-525-5555 or *(star)55 to report dangerous drivers. The Patrol also encourages motorists to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained by using seatbelts and car seats.
