Thomson on Nixon's veto of tax bill

Missouri House Republicans say it will be an uphill battle to override Governor Jay Nixon's veto of tax-cutting legislation.

Republican Maryville State Representative Mike Thomson says the bill was designed to help Missouri's business climate as well as individual taxpayers.

Thomson says Republican lawmakers will discuss overrides during an August meeting in St. Louis...ahead of the September veto session. The House's final vote on the tax bill was slightly short of the two-thirds majority needed for a veto override.
