Sunscreen for RAGBRAI

Thousands of cycling enthusiasts are busy double checking gear, squeezing in last minute training rides and getting ready for the fun experience at the 41st Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa, or RAGBRAI.

With all the preparation it takes to get ready for this ride it is easy to overlook one important safety precaution: Sunscreen. According to the Communications and Membership Coordinator at the Iowa Cancer Consortium Kelly Sittig a group has come together to distribute sunscreen to protect riders.

Roughly 10,000 cyclists will ride at least a portion of this years RAGBRAI route. Most will ride the full 7 days. RAGBRAI participants are encouraged to use the#SunSafeRAGBRAI to tweet pictures of themselves and friends taking advantage of the free sunscreen, to help promote and support the program along the RAGBRAI route.
